  • Standard First Aid Level C (SFA-C)

    Standard First Aid BLS (SFA-BLS)

    1. Classroom-based (2 days in person): 14 hours in class over 2 days of interactive training.

    2. Blended (Online learning + 1 day in person)- Flexibility of self-paced 8 hours of online learning followed by approximately 8 hours in in-class skills training.

  • To recertify, you must meet all three prerequisites: 

    1. The chosen course date must be before your current card expiry date,

    2. The last course you took was a full Standard First Aid course (not a one-day recertification course), AND

    3. Your current certificate was provided by the Canadian Red Cross.

    Course duration-

    Standard First Aid Level C: 7.5 hours in class

    CPR on adults (level A) and adults/children (level C)

    Choking - Adult/Baby

    Respiratory emergencies including asthma attacks, hyperventilation, aspiration and allergic reactions (anaphylaxis)

    Heart attacks, angina, strokes, and other circulatory emergencies

    Deadly bleeding

    Fractures and broken bones

    Head and neck injuries.

  • Emergency First Aid Level C (EFA-C)

    Emergency First Aid Level A (EFA-A)

    1. Classroom-based (1 day)

      Emergency First Aid Level A: 6.5 hours all in class.

      Emergency First Aid Level C: 7.5 hours all in class.

      Emergency First Aid BLS: 9.5 hours in class.

    2. Blended (online and in-person)

      You'll complete a portion of the course online before you complete a skills class in person. 

      Emergency First Aid Level A: 4 hours of online learning, followed by 4 hours in class

      Emergency First Aid Level C: 4 hours of online learning, followed by 5 hours in class.

  • Valid for 3 Years.
